Autism and ADHD Affirming Therapy

Are you frustrated with antiquated, compliance-based services that focus on “fixing” your Neurodivergent child or teen?

So are we.

Welcome.

Welcome to The Neurodiversity Circle, a community of compassionate professionals celebrating and supporting Neurodivergent children, teens and their families through Neurodivergent Affirming (Neuroaffirming) services and education.

Our Story

Immediately after opening Rising Lotus Therapy Center in 2018, Tara McDonnell, recognized that the need for support in the Neurodivergent community was growing by the minute. It was also evident that neither the medical community, mental health community, nor school systems were equipped to recognize Neurodiversity or provide appropriate support services.

So in 2025, inspired by countless neurodivergent clients and her colleague, Sami Wallshein, Tara created the Neurodiversity Circle founded on 3 core values: Inclusion, Connection and Safety.

Three neurodivergent kids

We believe everyone has the right to live as their true self and feel included, no matter what environment they are in. Everyone has the right to feel a sense of pride in who they are and what they offer the world.

Inclusion

We believe everyone has a right to connect with others in a meaningful way and benefit from a community which offers accepting, nonjudgemental connection.

Connection

Above all, we believe everyone has a right to access support in a safe space where diversity and inclusion are celebrated and shared.

Safety

Neurodiversity isn’t about changing people. It’s about changing society’s perspectives of people.
